Friendship Order granted to Russia’s leading university
The Friendship Order, the most noble award the Vietnamese State presents to foreign collectives and citizens, was granted to the Lomonosov Moscow State University and its Rector Victor Sadovnichy on December 5.

Moscow (VNA) – The Friendship Order, the most noble award theVietnamese State presents to foreign collectives and citizens, was granted tothe Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU) and its Rector Victor Antonovich Sadovnichyon December 5.
On behalf of the Vietnamese State, Ambassador to Russia NgoDuc Manh handed over the Order to the university, saying that this is torecognise its great contributions to the development of the Vietnam-Russiafriendship as well as human resources training for the Southeast Asian nationover the past more than six decades.
He told the MGU rector and lecturers that MGU alumni, afterreturning to Vietnam, have made important contribution to the nationaldevelopment, adding that he is also an MGU alumnus.
Rector Victor Sadovnichy said he was touched for Vietnam’srecognition, and vowed to try his best to improve cooperation with Vietnam’seducational establishments.
MGU, one of the oldest Russian institutions of highereducation, has been listed in the world’s Top 100 universities for years.-VNA
