In his greetings, President Nhan said the Vietnam Fatherland FrontCentral Committee recognised and highly valued the Muslim community’sparticipation in national movements and campaigns, particularly thoseaiming to improve the living conditions for disadvantaged members of thecommunity.
The Muslim community’s charitableefforts in the fields of social issues, HIV/AIDS and environmentalprotection have contributed to a stronger national unity and thenation-building process, Nhan said.
He said helooked forward to the Muslim community taking a more results-orientatedapproach to building a peaceful, democratic and prosperous Vietnam.
The Muslim community in Vietnam has 770 dignitaries and more than75,000 followers. There are 79 Muslim places of worship in Vietnam.-VNA
