Gathering celebrates Hungary’s National Day in HCM City

Chairman of the VHFA’s municipal chapter Le Minh Triet saidVietnam and Hungary enjoy a time-honoured friendship. The Vietnamese peoplenever forget the wholeheartedly support and assistance that the HungarianGovernment and people have provided for their struggle for independence in thepast as well as the current development.
Over the past two decades, the chapter has made practical and effectivecontributions to people-to-people diplomacy and cooperation between the twocountries, and between the city and Hungarian localities, particularly thecapital city of Budapest, he said.
Hungarian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City BalogdiTibor expressed his delight at the growing bilateral ties, adding that Ho ChiMinh City is always a focus of cultural, education and trade exchange betweenthe two countries.
On the occasion, the municipal People’s Committeepresented the traditional flag to the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association inhonour of its dedication to the city’s people-to-people diplomacy over the pasttwo decades.-VNA
