Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos NguyenBa Hung thanked the Lao Party, State and people for providing effective supportfor Vietnam, its embassy and community in the country over the past years.
Lao Defence Minister Gen. Chansamone Chanyalath congratulatedVietnam on being elected as a non-permanent member of the United NationsSecurity Council for the 2020-2021 tenure, proving the internationalcommunity’s trust in the country and its improving stature on global arena.
He expressed his belief that great friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States andpeoples will be increasingly strengthened, contributing to peace, stability,and development cooperation in the region and the world.
Participants at the event were treated to traditionalVietnamese food and music performances.
