Hanoi (VNA) –🌌 President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan has expressed his wish that Germany will share experience in developing small- and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

He had a meeting in Hanoi on November 16 with Vice President of the German parliament Edelgard Bulmahn , who was in Vietnam to attend the fifth dialogue between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) under the theme developing SMEs in the two countries. Bulmahn said through the dialogue, both sides shared the view that SMEs are an important driving force for growth in each country. The issues discussed and experience shared at the event will be useful for the next dialogue of the two Parties so as to serve the sustainable development in their respective nations.
Speaking highly of the issues discussed at the dialogue, Nhan said the event was helpful in reinforcing cooperation between the Parties and the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership. One million young Vietnamese people enter the labour market every year, and about 500,000 businesses are expected to be set up in the country in the next five years, he noted. He also expects Germany to assist Vietnam to provide vocational training for young people and prioritise skilful Vietnamese workers in this European nation.
At the meeting, Edelgard Bulmahn asked the two sides to work together to tackle difficulties in the implementation of the Vietnam-Germany University project. The VFF President also urged both sides to soon appoint an experienced person to the university leader position and ensure capable lecturers who can connect Vietnamese and Germany culture and education. With the countries’ efforts and huge potential, their strategic partnership will continue flourishing, thereby meeting the two peoples’ aspirations and interests, he added.-VNA
