Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuchas asked Hanoi to promptly build a pilot management project in the model ofurban administration and submit to the Politburo for consideration.

During a conference in the capital city on January 22, thePM lauded the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council and People’sCommittee for actively and carefully building the project via collectingfeedback from ministries and agencies and reporting the progress to theNational Assembly agencies.

The project must offer better mechanisms to the city in linewith Conclusion No.22-KL/TW by the Politburo and Resolution No.18-NQ/TW by theParty Central Committee, ensure the Party leadership and direction over the municipalauthorities at all levels, he said.

He requested the steering committee in charge of buildingthe project acquire suggestions at the event, adding that the government willpartner with Hanoi during the process.

Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai saida steering committee was established in February 2018, thoroughly studyingeight sub-projects in service of the pilot project, holding eight seminars andworking with scientists and intellectuals to acquire their feedback.

The city also held seminars from the grassroots level andcollected opinions from ministries and National Assembly committees on theproject.

The project also looks to strengthen rural administration intowns, communes and districts while renewing decentralisation mechanisms and activitiesof the Party, Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organisations at communal anddistrict levels.-VNA
