Hanoi leader extends greetings on Lord Buddha’s birthday

Hanoi (VNA) – Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee VuongDinh Hue on May 4 visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Central Committeeand the VBS Executive Board of Hanoi on the occasion of Lord Buddha’s 2564th birthday.
He wished Buddhist dignitaries and followers good health andhappiness, and greater achievements in Buddhist affairs.
The Party and State always appreciate the VBS’s contributions tonational construction and development, and facilitate the practice of Buddhism,the official said.
Hue also spoke highly of Hanoi’s performance in the fight againstthe COVID-19 pandemic and in economic recovery, and thanked Buddhistdignitaries and followers for their companionship in the effort.
He called on dignitaries of the VBS and the VBS Executive Board ofHanoi to continue setting examples and encourage Buddhist followers to observeregulations on pandemic prevention and control.
