Hanoi (VNA)- A delegation of the Party Committee, People’sCouncil, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi on April 22paid a floral tribute to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin at his statue on Dien Bien Phustreet to mark his 150th birthday.
Thedelegation was led by Politburo member Vuong Dinh Hue, Secretary of themunicipal Party Committee and head of Hanoi’s delegation of National Assemblydeputies.
Theofficials recalled Lenin’s great contributions to the global revolutionary cause and expressed their determination to continue his ideology andrevolutionary path, as well as Marxism-Leninism and HoChi Minh ideology to build a beautiful, wealthy and civilised Hanoi,contributing to the proletarian revolutionary cause.
Thisis an annual activity to commemorate Lenin, one of the most eminent politicalfigures and revolutionary thinkers of the 20th century.
Leninmasterminded the Bolshevik take-over of power in Russia in 1917. He was thearchitect and first leader of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republic.He was also a great teacher of workers worldwide./.
