Hanoi (VNA) – A seminar on the press’s role in the building of corporate culture in the new era took place in Hanoi on June 5.

The event was jointly organised by the press department and Van Hoa (Culture) newspaper under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HANOISME), as part of the lead-up to the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925–2025).

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong noted that the seminar was a timely and meaningful activity, especially as the Politburo has just issued Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on the development of the private economic sector.

Phong stressed that the press is not only a bridge between enterprises and society but also a crucial communications channel that plays an active role in shaping and promoting corporate culture. It helps businesses manage communications crises, connect their products with the public, and widely convey the positive image, values, and mission embedded in their corporate identity.

Editor-in-Chief of Van Hoa newspaper Nguyen Anh Vu noted that in this era of digital transformation, international integration, and globalisation, the press has greater opportunities and responsibilities to support businesses in building corporate cultures that are humane, ethical, responsible, and innovative.

Presentations and discussions at the seminar focused on key issues such as how a long-term, effective coordination mechanism can be established between media agencies and the business community, as well as the role of the press in supporting the implementation of Resolution 68, especially in promoting business ethics and corporate social responsibility.

✃ In his closing speech, HANOISME Vice President and General Secretary Mac Quoc Anh stressed that in today’s evolving landscape, the press must continue to innovate and lead in promoting ethical standards and corporate cultural values, standing side by side with the private economic sector in asserting its position, ultimately contributing to elevating Vietnam’s economy on the regional and global stage./.
