HCM City (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh Federation ofLabour, the Trade Union of Public Utility Enterprises and Commercial Services ofthe city, and the National Union Alliance Chamber of Cambodia (NACC) had a meetingin the city on June 7 to share experience in trade union affairs.
The sides briefed each other on their operations, and exchangedthe experience in the implementation of trade union movements at the local level.
They shared many ideas to optimise the role of trade unionsand give better care for labourers, building a harmonious labour relations andpromoting development of businesses and agencies.

He said that Cambodia currently has 1.5 million labourers,80% of whom have joined trade unions. Their average income reaches 250 - 350USD per month, he added.
The official expressed his hope that the Trade Union of Public UtilityEnterprises and Commercial Services of HCM City and the NACC will continue to shareexperience in trade union affairs and measures to attract more labourers, thuscontributing to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the twosides and promoting the socio-economic growth in each country.
During their stay in the city, the NACC delegation alsolearned from the city trade union’s experience in women’s affairs, financial andasset management, protection of labourers’ rights and interest, andcommunications work.
They will tour a number of trade unions in a number offacilities in the city, and visit historical and cultural relic sites in thecity and neighbouring provinces until June 10./.
