HCM City gathering to mark China’s 71st National Day

The Ho Chi Minh City Union of FriendshipOrganisations (HUFO) on September 30 organised a gathering to celebrate the 71st anniversary of China’s National Day (October 1).

In his speech, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Ho ChiMinh City Duong Quan Ha laid a stress on the traditional friendship between thetwo nations, which has been treasured by generations of Vietnamese and Chineseleaders.

He said the exchange of visits by high-ranking officials of both nations hasmade significant contributions to elevating the comprehensive strategic cooperativepartnership to a new high.

Ha went on by saying the HUFO, Vietnam-China Friendship Association, ChineseConsulate General, and Chinese business community have worked closely topromote mutual understanding between Ho Chi Minh City and Chinese localities,helping develop the friendship between the two nations.

Chinese Deputy Consul General Hao Zhigang highlighted the sound traditionalfriendship between the two countries, adding that thanks to the leadership ofthe two Parties, coupled with joint efforts of the two peoples, the cooperativerelations have been developed in a more practical and deeper manner across thefields of politics, economy and people diplomacy.

He thanked the HUFO and the Vietnam-China Friendship Organisation of Ho ChiMinh City for supporting the Chinese Consulate General to promote the Vietnam -China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

The Chinese office stands ready to join hands with the HUFO to unceasingly developthe Vietnam – China partnership, he added./.
