HCM City hosts VN/US technology conference

The ‘Technology Entrepreneurs Creative Mix’ (TECx) conference is taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from July 4-7 with the aim of enhancing cooperation between Vietnam and the US in technology, trade and investment.
The ‘Technology Entrepreneurs Creative Mix’ (TECx) conference is takingplace in Ho Chi Minh City from July 4-7 with the aim of enhancingcooperation between Vietnam and the US in technology, trade andinvestment.

The annual event is jointly organised bythe Strategic Alliance Vietnamese Ventures International and the USConsulate General in HCM City .

With thetheme ‘Technology changes our lives,’ the conference offers anopportunity for Vietnamese and US experts to discuss the impacts oftechnology on consumers in four areas – film production, media andmobile networks, health care and agriculture and education.

The conference will focus on rising concerns over food security andsustainable agricultural production while promoting innovation inbusinesses.

A seminar will also take place between thebusiness communities of both countries to enable companies to exchangeinformation and seek out new partners.-VNA

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
