HCM City (VNA) – TheSaigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) launched the 2017 Internet of Things StartupCompetition (IoT Startup 2017) on March 25.

The competition, the secondof its kind, will be held in four places, namely Hanoi, Da Nang, HCM city andCan Tho City, from April to October, 2017. It is expected to discover andassist outstanding projects.

Entry projects will receiveassistance from international and domestic technology companies in developinginceptions, sample products, quality assurance, and calling for investment.

The IoT Startup 2017, withthe theme “Connected Devices” called on registrations in numerous fields,including smart city, house automation, energy saving, smart agriculture,security and health.

The prize pool of thecompetition is worth 100 million VND (4,400 USD), with a half of the amountgoes to the first prize winner.

In 2016, the competitionlured the participation of over 400 developers with 70 projects.-VNA
