HCM City seeks stronger cooperation with Argentinean provinces

HCM City (VNA) – ViceChairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem on June 4 receivedleaders of the Argentinean provinces of Entre Rios, Cordoba and Santa Fe todiscuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation, especially in trade andinvestment.

Liem said Ho Chi Minh City has organisedhigh-level visits and trade promotion events with Argentinean provinces andcities over the past years, adding that the city’s leaders will pay a workingtrip to the South American country to boost ties with its localities.

He believed that both sides will havemany opportunities to penetrate each other’s market as well as intensify jointwork in people-to-people diplomacy, culture and sports, contributing to theenhancement of Vietnam – Argentina ties.

Vice Governor of Entre Rios provinceBahl Adan Humberto, head of the delegation, introduced the potential andlocations of the three provinces, saying that they have strengths inagricultural production such as nuts, dairy products, fruits, fowls, beef andpork.

He expressed the wish to seekcooperation opportunities with Vietnamese firms, especially in farm produce,economy, tourism and culture.

Leaders of the three provinces pledgedto provide optimal support for Ho Chi Minh City businesses to enter the Argentineanmarket, and serve as a bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City firms with nearbymarkets such as Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile.-VNA
