Artists will perform a number of musical works byVietnamese and American composers. The event is organised by the Vietnam Unionof Friendship Organisations of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam - AmericaFriendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatoryof Music. The music night will begin with a six-chapter symphonicsuite called " Bong trang qua them” by well-known musician Trong Dai who graduatedfrom the famous Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia and has to date composedhundreds of solo and ensemble works for Western and Vietnamese traditional instruments. The audience will enjoy "Romance for violin andchamber orchestra" by composer and pianist Amy Beach who was born in 1867 and considered the first important female composer in the US whose worksmixed Romantic and Impressionistic styles, helping give personality to theearly classical music scene in the country. Violinist Chuong Vu will solo Romance in F minor forViolin and Orchestra, op.11 by Antonin Dvorak. The music night will be wrapped up with "AnAmerican in Paris for Orchestra" by famouscomposers George Gershwin.
