HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam-China FriendshipAssociation of Ho Chi Minh City on June 28 held its third congress for the2023-2028 tenure.
The congress elected a 29-strong executive board led bySecretary of Thu Duc city’s PartyCommittee Nguyen Huu Hiep.
At the congress, delegates discussed and approved directions and solutions tocarry out the association's tasks for the 2023-2028 term, contributing toconsolidating, strengthening, and expanding the cooperation and understandingbetween the people of Vietnam and China.
At the congress, the President of the Ho Chi Minh City Union ofFriendship Organisations (HUFO) Do Viet Ha acknowledged that the Vietnam - ChinaFriendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City has operated effectively withpeople-to-people diplomacy activities in various areas from politics, economics, to socio-culture.
The association closely coordinated with the Consulate Generalof China in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Chinese Business Association inpeople-to-people diplomacy activities and charity programmes.
