New Delhi (VNA) – Indonesian President JokoWidodo and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak shared counter-terrorismexperiences with India during bilateral meetings with Indian Prime MinisterNarendra Modi.
The two leaders shared experiences and legislations oncountering terrorism they have introduced in their own countries during theirvisit to India to attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit and the 69thanniversary of Republic Day of India, said Secretary (East) of the IndianExternal Affairs Ministry Preeti Saran in a press briefing.
The experiences covered the soft and hardware aspects ofcountering terrorism, Saran noted. The hardware aspects of strict actions aretaken through enabling laws and the software actions are how to ensure that theyouth do not follow the path of extremism or radicalization, he explained.
Widodo and Razak were among ten leaders of the ASEAN memberstates joining a celebration of the Indian Republic Day on January 26.
