Indonesia offers therapy services for disabled, special needs children

Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia’s Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos), through the Kartini Integrated Centre in Temanggung, is implementing a programme that provides special therapy services for people with disabilities and children with special needs (LATIH ADIKKU), the country’s national news agency Antara has reported.

According to a release broadcast by the ministry, the services were offered for free to people with disabilities and children with special needs from low-income families.

This service also includes the provision of other facilities, such as assistance from psychologists and social workers as well as education or counseling for the beneficiaries.

✤ "The therapy installations include physiotherapy services, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and doctor services," said Laily Tri Utami, one of the therapists at the center, as quoted by Antara./.
