Indonesia receives nearly 932 million USD in health aid
Indonesia’s Health Ministry recorded a comprehensive commitment of 931.7 million USD in foreign direct grants between 2021 and 2025 to improve its national health funding, medical device procurement, and services.

Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia’s Health Ministry recorded a comprehensive commitment of 931.7 million USD in foreign direct grants between 2021 and 2025 to improve its national health funding, medical device procurement, and services.
As reported by the national news agency Antara, addressing the Indonesia Health Partners Meeting on June 26, Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono acknowledged that the grants from some 30 foreign entities offer a significant advantage as strategic budget sources.
💟 According to the official, last year, one worth some 276.2 million USD was channeled to fund the ministry's programmes. Almost 48% of that amount was used to cover their implementation, public assistance, medical devices, and management support.
ꦗ Harbuwono said the funding has driven some innovative approaches in the health sector by providing more opportunities for health professionals to hone their skills with the use of advanced technology and by facilitating in making significant strides in vaccine, therapy, diagnosis, and biotechnology./.
