Jakarta (VNA) - Indonesia is running for a non-permanent member seat of the United Nations Security Council for the 2029-2030, according to Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi.

This candidature reflects Indonesia’s deep commitment to contribute to global peace and security, she said.

Retno emphasised that peace, justice and humanity will always be at the core of Indonesia's foreign policy, and its commitment to common peace, prosperity and security will be carried forward across its successive administrations

ܫ Indonesia was a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in the 1974-1975, 1995-1996, 2007-2008, and 2019-2020 terms./.
