Indonesia sinks over 100 illegal foreign fishing vessels

Indonesian authorities said on August 21 that Indonesia has simultaneously sunk 125 foreign ships for illegal fishing in the country’s territorial waters.

🌸 – Indonesian authorities said on August 21 that Indonesia has simultaneouslysunk 125 foreign ships for illegal fishing in the country’s territorial waters.

Indonesian Marine and Fisheries Affairs Minister Susi Pudjiastuti said the actaimed at giving deterrent effect. She pinned hope that no foreign boat dares toenter Indonesian waters for illegal fishing.

Thesinking of 125 vessels took place in 11 different locations across the nationon August 20.

Since 2014, Indonesian authorities have drowned a total of 488 violating ships,she added.
