Indonesia plans to raise the number of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) entering the digital ecosystem to 30 million by 2024, according to the country’s President Joko Widodo.

Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia plans to raise the number of micro, smalland medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) entering the digital ecosystem to 30million by 2024, according to the country’s PresidentJoko Widodo.

As many as 19 million MSMEshave joined the digital ecosystem, he noted in a speech at the annual sessionof the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly on August 16.

He emphasised that MSMEsshould be continuously supported to level up, adding the Government is boostingeconomic digitalisation, which has led to the development of two decacorns andnine unicorns.

The President also assured that various low-interest loans for MSMEs will not stop and noted MSMEs’ productslisted in the government’s e-catalogue are expected to boost sales./.
