Jakarta (VNA) 𒅌– Indonesia has set an ambitious target of training 9 million digital experts by 2035, as part of its strategy to tackle digital challenges and achieve Vision 2045, known as Golden Indonesia.

Yuana Rochma Astuti, Director of Digital Economy Management at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, stated that the government is working closely with global tech giants, universities, and leading digital training institutions to train a skilled workforce capable of driving the nation’s economic growth and innovation.
Achieving this target will require the production of 600,000 digital talents annually. However, Indonesia’s current training capacity falls short, producing only 200,000 to 400,000 graduates in digital fields each year. This gap highlights the urgency of implementing strong solutions to enhance the country’s digital workforce development and ensure its global competitiveness. She emphasised the importance of integrating digital development programmes into university curricula, fostering partnerships among ministries, and launching collaborative training initiatives./.
