Jakarta (VNA) – The Indonesian Government hasset a goal of attracting around 620,000 Japanese tourists to the SoutheastAsian nation in 2017.

Director for Asia-Pacific Tourism Promotion of the TourismMinistry of Indonesia Vinsensius Jemadu said that the number of Japanesetourists to Indonesia recorded a decrease of 0.2 percent last year.

He attributed the decline to the lack of direct flights fromJapan to Indonesia, especially when the Japan Airlines stopped operatingflights to Bali.
