Indonesian President announces new cabinet line-up

Jakarta (VNA)♈ - Indonesia's new President Prabowo Subianto on October 20 unveiled the so-called “red and white” cabinet, including ministers, deputy ministers and heads of agencies at the State Palace.

The new cabinet has 48 ministries and five ministerial-level agencies, including seven coordinating ministries, including the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs; Coordinating Ministry for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration and Penitentiary Affairs; Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs; Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development; Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs; Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs; and Coordinating Ministry for People’s Empowerment.
The new ministers and deputy ministers will be appointed on October 21. Prabowo had previously summoned about 100 potential candidate members to his residence on October 14-15. After the swearing-in ceremony, the ministers and deputy ministers in Prabowo's cabinet are expected to attend a meeting from October 23-27./.
