Indonesia's Bali targets 17 million tourist arrivals in 2025

Jakarta (VNA)𝓰 – The provincial authorities of Bali is aiming to draw 17 million tourist arrivals this year, including 6.5 million foreigners, head of the provincial Tourism Office Tjok Bagus Pemayun said on January 23.

He said the target is realistic considering that the number of foreign arrivals in the Indonesian province reached around 6.3 million last year. Meanwhile, the target for domestic tourist visits is up to 10.5 million,
He outlined that the challenge in 2025 is handling problems that affect foreign arrivals, namely congestion, garbage, and land use conversion. The provincial authorities will also boost law enforcement measures while serving as a regulator and facilitator, expecting assistance from tourism stakeholders in the field. To attract foreign tourists, the Bali Tourism Office has launched the 2025 Calendar of Events, featuring as many as 54 events, with 45 being cultural ones, including the ogoh-ogoh (giant effigies) parade in March and the Bali International Air Show in September./.
