Hanoi (VNA)🃏 - Japanese investment in Malaysiamay increase by 30 percent this year, predicted the Japanese Chamber of Tradeand Industry in Malaysia (JACTIM), according to Kyodo news.

In a recent seminar, JACTIM President ToshihikoTodokoro expressed optimism for a surge of at least 30 percent in Japaneseinvestment in Malaysia in 2017. Todoroko said Japanese companies will expand operationin Malaysia if political stability is maintained, since it is important forthose companies, especially new investors. The latest data shows that Japanese investment inMalaysia is concentrated on the manufacturing sector, notably in the electricaland electronics industry. Half of about 1,400 Japanese companies operating inthe country are manufacturers.
