Japanese prefecture boosts cooperation with HCM City
The Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarian Alliance in Aichi prefecture hopes to boost cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City, particularly in the potential fields of tourism, high technology, and people-to-people exchange.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Japan-VietnamFriendship Parliamentarian Alliance in Aichi prefecture hopes to boostcooperation with Ho Chi Minh City, particularly in the potential fields oftourism, high technology, and people-to-people exchange.
President of the alliance Naoe Hirobumi made thestatement at a meeting with Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee NguyenThanh Phong in the city on April 4.
He said the alliance includes parliamentariansfrom different political parties but they share the consistent viewpoint ofpromoting collaboration with Vietnam in general and HCM City in particular.
He expressed his pleasure with the strongdevelopment of the two localities’ relations and hoped Japaneseparliamentarians will serve as bridges to connect Aichi and HCM Cityauthorities, businesses and people.
The two sides are expected to stand side by sideto develop the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan, headded.
Phong said HCM City and Aichi have beenimplementing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bilateral cooperation via sharingexperience in hi-tech agriculture and hosting workshops to promote tourism.
He asked Aichi’s parliamentarians to boostcollaboration activities in such fields as mechanic industry, high technology,medicine, tourism and human resources training.
The official hoped the parliamentarians willbecome goodwill ambassadors to tighten the friendship and cooperation betweenthe two localities, contributing to the reinforcement of the Vietnam – Japanextensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia.
In September 2016, HCM City and Aichi prefecturesigned the MoU on bilateral friendship and cooperation, under which they agreedto bolster win-win affiliation in economy, trade, tourism, culture and humanresources development.-VNA
