Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang proposed Japan's Nagano prefecture support Vietnamese localities to develop human resources training in hi-tech agriculture while receiving Governor Shui Chi Abe in Hanoi on October 24. 

The President welcomed the prefecture’s Kawakami village to send experts to Vietnam to transfer clean vegetable growing technologies and receive young Vietnamese workers to learn experience in the field. 

He suggested expanding this model to develop rural areas in Vietnam . 

He hailed the prefecture and the Vietnam ’s Ministry of Planning and Investment and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for signing Memoranda of Understanding on boosting economic and agriculture cooperation. 

Vietnam is willing to create all favourable conditions for Japanese businesses invest in other fields of Japanese strength such as manufacturing, electronics, mechanics, tourism and support industry, he said. 

For his part, Shui Chi Abe said there is a plenty of room for cooperation between Nagano and Vietnam , noting that only about 40 businesses from the prefecture are investing in Vietnam . 

He said he hopes through this visit, more Japanese companies will pour investment in Vietnam , especially in agriculture and support industry. 

Mentioning the agricultural development model at Kawakami village, he said his prefecture has received many Vietnamese students to learn about clean, safe and high-quality vegetable cultivation and production. 

✤ He expressed his hope that the prefecture will export fruits and vegetables to Vietnam in the future and sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in this field.-VNA
