Journalism for sustainable development prizes awarded

A total of 10 prizes have been granted to outstanding reporters at the Journalism for Sustainable Development Award 2018 awards ceremony.

Hanoi (VNA) - A total of 10 prizes have been granted tooutstanding reporters at the Journalism for Sustainable Development Award2018 awards ceremony.

The ceremony was held on November 23 by the Institute for Research onDevelopment Communication (RED), the Global Affairs Canada and the DeutscheGesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The ‘Journalism for Sustainable Development Award 2018’ was launched fivemonths ago, receiving more than 500 writings from 173 reporters nationwide.

Six of the winning works wrote about environmental protection and the remainingfour on gender equality.

Also at the ceremony, Nguyen Chi Dung, chair of the jury, announced regulationson the Journalism for Sustainable Development Awards 2019. Entries must be submittedno later than the end of October and an awards ceremony is expected to takeplace in next November. - VNA
