Moscow, January 28 (VNA) – Dialogue between Vietnam and Russia is continuously evolving at various levels, from working meetings to high-level and top-tier discussions, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

This is the key to dynamic growth in the cooperation between the two countries, he affirmed during a recent interview with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) correspondent in Russia on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Russia highly values its relationship with Vietnam, its closest and most trusted partner in Asia, Peskov said, adding since 2012, the partnership has been elevated to a comprehensive strategic level, reflecting the mutual trust between the two nations and providing a solid foundation for further cooperation, political dialogue, and international collaboration.

He praised Vietnam’s remarkable progress since gaining independence, highlighting the country’s significant socio-economic achievements. Vietnam’s GDP per capita has surged multiple times since 1991, and the nation has become fully self-sufficient in agriculture, transforming into a key exporter.

Regarding Vietnam-Russia cooperation, Peskov pointed to the Nuclear Technology Center, a major project involving Russia’s Rosatom group, as a prime example. The development of peaceful nuclear energy and research is seen as a crucial driver for Vietnam’s next phase of growth. Russia values Vietnam’s achievements and is eager to strengthen its position as a key trade and economic partner.

To ensure younger generations in both countries understand the history and enduring friendship between them, as well as to preserve and enhance the accomplishments of their bilateral ties, Peskov said Russia’s respect for the heroism of the Vietnamese people in their fight against US aggression. He noted that Russia takes pride in having stood alongside Vietnam and contributed to its victory in 1975.

ꦡ He highlighted that both nations possess the necessary tools and media platforms to play a significant role in recounting these heroic moments. He called on writers, poets, and filmmakers to bring this shared history to audiences through various mediums. Russia is confident in its readiness to cooperate with Vietnam in this effort, he noted./.
