Sydney (VNA) -💮 Vietnam’s outstanding socio-economic progress in 2024, highlighted by the robust economic growth of 7.09% and sustained social stability, has earned high praise from Lao Ambassador to Australia Sinchai Manivanh.

During a pre-Lunar New Year (Tet) visit to the Vietnamese Embassy on January 22, Ambassador Manivanh lauded Vietnam’s achievements, emphasising the elevation of Vietnam–Australia relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024. He noted that the year was distinguished by significant visits and deepened bilateral cooperation.
The Lao ambassador also commended the Vietnamese Embassy for its active contributions to fostering stronger ties between Vietnam and Australia. For his part, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam noted that amidst global volatility and rising challenges in geopolitics, food security, natural disasters, and climate change, Laos achieving over 4% growth in 2024 clearly indicates its economic recovery and development. Ambassador Tam expressed hope for continued close collaboration between the Vietnamese and Lao embassies in Canberra to further strengthen Vietnam–Laos bilateral relations and explore trilateral cooperation with Australia in the years ahead./.
