Lao National Assembly approves 13 laws

Vientiane (VNA) – The 9th National Assembly of Laos on July 2 concluded its seventh session, during which 13 laws were passed.

The legal documents included two new laws, namely the Cooperative Law and the Law on Medicinal Resources. Meanwhile, the revised laws cover HIV/AIDS prevention and control, investment promotion, anti-money laundering and the combat against the financing of terrorism, environmental protection, tourism, value-added tax, fire prevention and control, anti-corruption, the operation of the legislature and People’s Councils, and election.

🌟 These laws are designed to strengthen state, economic, and social management, and to establish a comprehensive system that protects the rights of all citizens and legal entities in Laos, said Vice President of the NA and Chairman of its Law Committee Chaleun Yiapaoher./.
