Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security presented national security protection medals to several officers of the Lao Ministry of Public Security at a ceremony in Hanoi on September 14. The Lao officers, the first representatives of the Lao ministry in Vietnam, were honoured for their contributions to consolidating the friendship as well as comprehensive and effective cooperation between the two countries’ public security.
In his remarks, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security To Lam hailed the achievements of the Lao ministry’s representative office in Vietnam in fostering ties between the two ministries.
He hoped the office would continue their close coordination with the Vietnamese side in implementing joint cooperation programmes and projects, thus helping deepen the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and ensuring national security and social order and safety in each nation. The Lao officers pledged to double their efforts in enhancing collaboration between the two countries’ police forces.-VNA
