Lao officials applaud fruitful ties between Nhan dan, Pasaxon newspapers

Vientiane (VNA) – A delegation of the Nhan dan (People) newspaper paid courtesy calls on Bounthong Chitmany, Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and Vice President of Laos, and Khamphan Pheuyavong, Chairman of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Training, in Vientiane on June 7.
At the meetings, Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-chief of Nhan dan, Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, informed his hosts about the cooperation results between Nhan dan and the Pasaxon newspaper of the LPRP, noting that bilateral cooperation has been enhanced and become more fruitful as seen in a project on upgrading the electronic version of Pasaxon to help it better fulfil duties in the new period.
He noted that the two sides will further boost the coverage of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States, and peoples.
With the two countries’ special relationship, the Nhan dan newspaper is ready to assist Pasaxon in particular and Lao partners in general, Minh affirmed.
Appreciating Nhan dan’s assistance for Pasaxon in the recent past, the Lao officials asked the newspaper of Vietnam to continue helping the Lao side, particularly in the operation of and personnel training for the new online system.
They said they will order Pasaxon to effectively use the new e-newspaper system to disseminate official information from the Lao Party and State and cover nationally important events in a timely manner as Laos is holding all-level Party congresses and serving as Chair of ASEAN in 2024.
💫 Earlier the same day, the Nhan dan delegation had talks with a delegation of Pasaxon led by Vanxay Tavinyan, Vice Chairman of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Training and Editor-in-chief of the newspaper. The two sides also signed a cooperation agreement for 2024 - 2029./.
The northern province of Nam Dinh and the Lao province of Oudomxay agreed to strengthen collaboration in the field of education and human resources training during a meeting of education officials of the two localities held in Nam Dinh on June 7.
Ho Chi Minh City is determined to exert its utmost efforts to further strengthen the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos for the benefit of their people, said Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen.
