Lao officials congratulate Vietnam on 79th National Day

Vientiane (VNA) – Delegations of Lao central agencies visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane on August 28 and 29 to congratulate Vietnam on the 79th anniversary of its National Day (September 2).

Leaders of Lao central agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Commission for Propaganda and Training, and the Organisation Commission of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee, and the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction, conveyed their heartfelt congratulations to the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and people, lauding the nation's remarkable achievements across various sectors over the past 79 years.

Praising robust cooperation between the Parties, States, and people of Laos and Vietnam over the past years, they congratulated the Vietnamese Embassy and representative agencies on effectively serving as a bridge and advisor in fostering the bilateral relationship.

The Lao officials were committed to working closely with the Vietnamese Embassy and relevant units to further strengthen the ties between the two countries, believing that under the sound leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam with General Secretary To Lam at the helm, Vietnam will achieve even greater successes in the cause of national construction and development, ultimately realising the goals set forth by the 13th National Party Congress and becoming a prosperous, happy and high-income developed country by 2045.

The occasion also provided an opportunity for the Lao delegations to express their gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, State, and people for their support during Laos's struggle for liberation and its ongoing national construction and development efforts.

Phan Minh Chien, Charge d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, thanked the Lao delegations and highlighted the country's development achievements in various fields and outlined key areas of focus for future cooperation between the two countries.
