Laos, Cambodia strengthen collaboration on human resource development

Vientiane (VNA) 🧸- The Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) under the Lao Ministry of Technology and Communications and the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) under the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of Cambodia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on human resources development in the digital technology industry.

According to IICT Director Padapxay Xayakhoth, digital technology cooperation has become an important foundation for economic growth, social development and good governance, adding that digital technology needs to be applied to reduce the gap between urban and rural areas, create new job opportunities for people and strengthen national strength.
Xayakhoth emphasised that the cooperation in human resources development in the field of technology between Laos and Cambodia is a signal of the two institutes' shared vision in building a strong digital society. It does not only promote exchanges and collaboration in education and research in digital technology, but also fosters relations and brings maximum benefits to the people of the two countries. Areas of cooperation in the MoU include the exchange of experts, researchers, teachers, professional staff and students, collaboration in developing digital talent in the form of educational development cooperation and training, organisation of seminars and conferences, exchange of information on teaching and learning, research documents, and collaboration in other areas on topics of mutual interest./.
