The event, held by the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was also tocelebrate 17 years of the Laos ’s membership to the bloc.
Since it joined the group in 1997, Laos has taken an active partin ASEAN-related events, including conferences on anti-drug crime andcorruption, transport, forestry, and tourism.
Additionally, the country has encouraged young people to study theassociation and actively prepare for the 35 th General Assembly of theASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and ASEAN Chair 2016.
