Laos records more than 1,400 dengue fever cases

Vientiane (VNA) 🀅- The number of dengue fever cases in Laos reached 1,464 as of June 4, according to the Lao Ministry of Health.

The capital Vientiane saw the highest number of cases, with 511; followed by Sekong province with 157 cases, and Luang Prabang province 142 cases. However, no deaths have been reported so far this year.
Medical experts warn that dengue fever is a dangerous disease if not detected and treated promptly. Patients often have symptoms such as high fever and headache. When showing any suspected signs, people are strongly advised to visit medical facilities for proper examination and treatment. Self-medicating at home is strictly discouraged to avoid the risks of antibiotic resistance or severe complications.
