Lawmakers to vote on 2020 State budget allocation resolution

Hanoi (VNA) – Legislators will vote on a resolution on State budgetallocation in 2020 on November 14 morning as part of the eighth session of the14th National Assembly.
Theyare scheduled to look into a draft law amending and supplementing Article 3 ofthe Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools.
TheLaw on Exit, Entry, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam will also betabled for discussion in the morning.
Duringthe afternoon working session, the deputies will hear a proposal on the NA’sratification of the Supplementary Treaty to the 1985 Treaty on the Delimitationof National Boundaries and the Supplementary Treaty 2005 between Vietnam andCambodia, and the protocol on land border demarcation and marker plantingbetween the two countries. Some reports on this issue will be presented to NA.
Later,the NA will discuss a draft resolution on the pilot dissolution of People’sCouncils in wards of Hanoi’s urban districts and towns, which was also thetopic of group discussions on October 29. /.
The National Assembly acknowledged and highly appreciated the outcomes achieved in implementing the NA’s resolutions on socio-economic development and State budget in 2019 during a live-broadcast discussion on October 31.
Legislators adopted a resolution on the socio-economic development plan for 2020 on November 11 – the 16th working day of the 14th National Assembly’s eighth sitting.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
