– Vietnamese and Chinese leaders have exchanged congratulatory messageson the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomaticties (January 18, 1950 – January 18, 2017).

General Secretary ofthe Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Tran DaiQuang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and National Assembly Chairwoman NguyenThi Kim Ngan exchanged messages with General Secretary of the Communist Partyof China and State President Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council LiKeqiang, and Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China (NPCC)Standing Committee Zhang Dejiang.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, whoheads the Vietnam-China Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation, alsoexchanged congratulatory messages with State Councilor Yang Jiechi, who leadsthe China-Vietnam Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation, and ForeignMinister Wang Yi.-VNA
