Hanoi (VNA) - National Assembly deputies looked into regulations on bailiff and the draft Law on Custody and Detention during a plenary session in Hanoi on November 9.
In the morning, Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong delivered a report reviewing the pilot enforcement of bailiff regulations and the government’s report on the NA’s draft Resolution on exercising bailiff regulations.
Member of the NA Standing Committee and head of the NA Law Committee Nguyen Van Hien presented a report examining the government’s report on piloting bailiff regulations, and another one on acquiring feedback on the draft Law on Custody and Detention.
Sixteen lawmakers voiced their opinions on the rights and responsibilities of detainees, detention management system, jurisdiction over complaint settlement, among others.
In the afternoon, they discussed in groups the aforementioned contents, and the draft Law on Asset Auction.
On November 10, legislators are due to adopt a resolution on the 2016 socio-economic development scheme and debate the legal enforcement of land use and management in State-owned farms and plantations for 2004-2014.
