– Legislators will further debate the draft law amending andsupplementing some articles of the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention andControl, and the Law on Dykes at a plenary session in Hanoi on November 22.

Duringgroup discussions that took place earlier, they agreed on the need to issue thelaw amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Natural DisasterPrevention and Control, and the Law on Dykes.

Regardingamendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Natural DisasterPrevention and Control, the National Assembly deputies consented to addregulations on communal-level forces against natural disasters and establish acentral fund for natural disaster combat, among others.

Whiledeliberating amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Dykes,they focused on banned activities and proposed identifying responsibilities ofrelevant agencies and organisations in flood control.

Inthe afternoon, they will vote on the law amending and supplementing somearticles of the Law on Government Organisation and the Law on LocalAdministration Organisation, the Law on Civil Defence (revised), and the Law onExit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens.   

Thesame day, the lawmakers will look into personnel work and vote on relevantresolutions./.
