When lotus flower season comes in mid-summer, the West Lake area in Hanoibecomes awash with blooms, attracting hundreds of people to come to enjoy the tranquilbeauty of the flower and keep memories of it by taking pictures.

Do Quyen, a Hanoi lady, adores lotus flower.
“I love lotusflower the most,” she said.
Quyen came to the West Lake so early in the morning as she wanted to take themost stunning moments of the lotus pond.

The Vietnam National Museum of History will launch a special exhibition themed “Lotus and antiquities” on May 14 in Hanoi with the aim of introducing local and international visitors to the beauty and meaning of the lotus flower in the Vietnamese culture.
