The Malaysian Government on March 8 reiterated its commitment to search for the missing MH370 plane of Malaysia Airlines as efforts to clear up one of the largest mysteries in the aviation history enters the fifth year.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Malaysian Government on March 8 reiteratedits commitment to search for the missing MH370 plane of Malaysia Airlines asefforts to clear up one of the largest mysteries in the aviation history entersthe fifth year.

Speaking at an event, Malaysian Minister of Transport Liow Tiong Lai saidthat the newly launched search for MH370, led by the US firm Ocean Infinity,has completed 16,000 square km out of the total 25,000 square km search area.

The search force hasn’t got any details or any debris of MH370, saidLiow, adding that the search will continue for the next three months.

In January, the Malaysian Government signed a contract with Ocean Infinityto continue the search efforts, giving the company 90 days to locate thewreckage of the Boeing 777 aircraft.

A local official said that due to refuel and supply reasons, SeabedConstructor, the vessel the company uses for the search, has to return to theport every 26 days, leading the search to finish in early June or mid-June.

Liow also said that a relevant report on the investigation of MH370 willalso be announced.

Flight MH370, carrying 239 people onboard, disappeared when it was enroute from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014.-VNA
