KualaLumpur (VNA) – Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister and M𓂃inister of HomeAffairs Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on May 30 called for efforts of Malaysian people tojoin the fight ෴against the self-claimed Islamic State (IS).

Zahidstressed that fighting against IS is not only the responsibility of the government,but also of the civilians, by providing information on IS for authorisedagencies. The appeal was made after head of the Malaysian police force'scounter-terrorism division, Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, said four Malaysian peoplearrived in Mindanao of the Philippines to join insurgent groups.  Amongthem, one man named Mahmud Ahmad said he is ready to be the next leader of ISbranch in southern Philippines if current leader Isnilon Hapilon waskilled.-VNA
