Malaysia eyes more quality investment via Langkawi int’l exhibition

Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Langkawi InternationalMaritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 2019 exhibition is one of the avenues forMalaysia to attract more quality investment and spur the growth of theindustries, said the country’s Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu.

He said on March 25 that LIMA is useful forMalaysia to expand their network, prioritise, rebalance, and strategise effortsto further strengthen the industry.

He added through the various ministries andagencies, LIMA has been pushed to break free from the “defence only” event to amore distinct platform for industries to thrive on.

The minister noted a total of 119,200 sq.m. hasbeen occupied at the main venue at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centrein Langkawi, hosting the aerospace segment.

The event is expected to attract about 40,000trade visitors and countless public members, Sabu said, adding that this istestament of LIMA’s ability to generate not just business but wider publicinterest to these dynamic industries.

LIMA 2019 is scheduled to open on March 26 andlast through March 30 with the participation of over 400 businesses from 32countries and territories.-VNA
