Hanoi (VNA) – The Malaysian Government is investigating the possibility of foreignagents’ involvement in a drive-by shooting that killed a Palestinian scholar inKuala Lumpur on April 21.

The announcementwas made at a press conference by Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, whosaid early investigation showed that two assassins of the Palestinian lecturer couldbe Caucasians linked to an intelligence organisation of a country.

The victim, FadiMohammad al-Batsh, 35, was walking from his apartment in Kuala Lumpur to a dawnprayer on April 21 when he was shot by two gunmen riding a motorcycle. The mandied immediately.

Closed-circuittelevision showed the assassins had waited for him for almost 20 minutes, localpolice said.-VNA
