Hanoi (VNA) –
Malaysia could set uptravel bubble with other ASEAN nations such as Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand, said Zaidi Isham Ismail in a recent article posted on New Straits Times.

The writer explained that the bubble orcorridors denotes a safe or a protected perimeter between two traveldestinations or countries or states already declared as green zones ready toreceive tourists which is set to help the tourism sector recover.

In Malaysia, he said, the obvious and nearesttravel bubble is with Singapore.

“Perhaps the two countries could considersetting up their very own travel bubble”, he said.

Subsequently, this concept could be expanded tothe rest of ASEAN such as Vietnam and Thailand which are also headed towardsgreen zone status, he added.

The essential requirement of implementing thisinitiative is trust between countries and cooperation of multi agencies, according to the writer./.
