Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysia, as ASEAN Chair in 2025, is committed to building strategic trust among member nations through dialogue, diplomacy, and goodwill, according to its Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan.

At the launch of the ASEAN 2025 logo, inspired by Malaysia’s national flower - the hibiscus, and the theme "Inclusivity and Sustainability," the minister emphasised Malaysia’s goal of strengthening intra-bloc trade and investment. Malaysia also aims to leverage advances in science, technology, and innovation, while capitalising on digital transformation and new technologies.

Malaysia’s ASEAN chairmanship will focus on making inclusivity and sustainability central to regional community-building efforts.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim highlighted the country’s role in advancing the "ASEAN Community Vision 2045", which sets strategic priorities for the next 20 years.
